RIT took a small step in the year 2001 by opening the department of Master in Computer Applicatons, which has helped it to take a giant leap forward in the field of education. Since its inception, the department is rich with dynamic and research oriented faculty members.the department draws major sustenance from its highly committed and dedicated faculty members and state of the art laboratories. With full fledged and excellent lab facilities, faculty members both in industry and pedagogy are catering to the needs of students of all the semesters. Frequent industry interactions in the form of seminars,workshops etc. are organized to acquaint the students with the latest developments and to provide them a cmpetitive advantage. The department has initiated to introduce the Open Source Standard and IBM Technology for the students of RIT in its own campus premises.
