PROFILE

Dr. J. Surya Rao is the promising and visionary director of Roland Educational and Charitable Trust. He is an educationist to the core. From his student life he has nurtured a vision to reinvent the image of Berhampur from the perspective of Education. In order to make his vision realised, he took a concrete steep forward by establishing Roland Educational and Charitable Trust. The trust spearheaded the cause of higher education in different fields. After that there was no looking back. Roland has become a household name not only in Berhampur but also in Orissa and in India at large.

He is a multifaceted personality. He has won the hats of a successful Entrepreneur, a dynamic Industrialist and a renowned Philanthropist.

Our esteemed Director Dr. J. Surya Rao has completed his MBBS from NGM Medical College Jamshedpur. He is the promoter of the Roland group of institutions like Roland Institute of Pharmaceutical science, Roland institute of computer and Management studies and Roland Supriya Jr. College and Roland Institute of Technology. He has been extending his services in the field of education for last 20 years. Southern Orissa is indebted to Dr. Rao for his Pioneering activities in the arena of education. Apart from this he is also involved in various social activities too. He is the governing body member of ABV Samaj and city high school.He has been heading various clubs social organizations and cultural associations. He has been instrumental in organizing many camps for the poor and needy.

MESSAGE

Education is sacred term, it may seem that today’s materialistic world has stolen the sparkle from the diamond, bit it is not so. We have to reinforce our faith in our education system. Today’s world is changing at the speed of nano second. We have to make our students competent in order to take the new world head on.

The objective of Roland is to make students fir from all aspects. They should not be overwhelmed by and hyper competition, rather they should ask for more competition in order to chisel themselves. Our environment is devoid of the so called heat, hype and hoopla. We believe only in holistic education, nothing else.

Our teachers are so meticulous in their approaches and dedicated towards teaching that they evolve a unique relationship with the students. Their uncanny ability to bond and blend with students make them all time favorite. I urge them to continue the tradition to understand the importance of the situation. I do remember that when I was a teacher every time I came out of the classroom I felt I had achieved nirvana.
